LEATHER CREAM
WHY DO YOU NEED TO APPLY CREAM TO YOUR TAU LEATHER PRODUCT?
All our TAU products are manufactured with leather that has been dyed using an OIL PULL-UP tanning method. Oil-pull is a leather dying method whereby hot oils are mixed in with paraffin waxes and are applied to the surface of the hide with a roller to give it a distressed look.
When this leather is stretched or pulled, the colour migrates and becomes lighter in the pulled areas. Hence, the name “pull-up” refers to this change in colour.
After using your product you will notice that it dries up and accumulates superficial scratches due to the “Pull-Up”. We love this authentic, distressed look and enjoy experiencing each product as it ages uniquely.
Applying our TAU Leather Cream once a month using a soft dry cloth or sponge will keep your product soft and alive, restoring it’s natural, vibrant colour and removing all superficial scratches.
